Bishop Johnson appoints Rev. Alfred W. Jones III to Camphor!

The following is the text of Bishop Johnson's annoucement on May 22, 2012:

Alfred W. Jones, III is appointed to Camphor Memorial United Methodist Church, in the Central District. Rev. Jones is a native of Philadelphia and began his vocation in ministry in the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, where he was licensed and ordained. He served as a Traveling Deacon at Mt. Olive CME Church in Camden, New Jersey for nine years and as a Traveling Elder serving Metropolitan CM Church in Philadelphia for the last eleven years. Rev. Jones is an Elder in Full Connection in the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church. He was very active on the district and annual conference levels, especially in respect to the Board of Christian Education. Rev. Jones earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Lincoln University. He continued his education, earning a M.Div. and a M.A. in Pastoral Counseling, both from Moravian Theological Seminary in PA. His is excited to worship with the United Methodist Church family.
